Marvel's surprise release of the latest Avengers: Endgame trailer gave fans a bunch of new footage to pour over for clues about the film's big twists and turns. Whether it's the length of Black Widow's hair or the mysterious whereabouts of Ant-Man, Nebula and Hawkeye's battle scenes, there are plenty of mysteries to try and decipher in the trailer. However, there is one mystery that some believe is all but solved: the purpose of the Avengers' new, matching Advanced Tech suits.
According to a post on Den of Geeks' Instagram page, the trailer offers confirmation that the new suits are meants to take the team to the Quantum Realm, the subatomic reality that was at the heart of Ant-Man and the Wasp's premise.

The detail on the red part of each suit is identical to the ant-man suit too, question is where they got all these suits - - #avengersinfinitywar #avengers #infinitywar #infinitygauntlet #infinitystones #marvel #marvelstudios #thanos #ironman #spiderman #doctorstrange #blackpanther #wakandaforever #guardiansofthegalaxy #xmen #fantasticfour #deadpool #russobrothers #civilwar #avengers4 #superhero #captainmarvel #captainamerica #hawkeye #antman #hulk #wintersoldier #groot #blackorder #den_of_geeks
The post compares a shot of the Advanced Tech suits with that of Ant-Man's regular costumes, and how much the details of the designs seem to match.
While it's certainly a possibility however, the question must be asked: why would Scott Lang wear the Advanced Tech armor instead of his Ant-Man suit, if the latter is already designed to travel to the Quantum Realm?
We have our own theory that the Avengers are actually wearing these new suits to go out into space to take the fight diretly to the Mad Titan, Thanos. After all, Thor and Captain Marvel don't appear in the group shot of the Avengers in these new suits, and we know that both characters don't need any tech help to venture out into the cosmos.
Of course, both theories have merit. The truth is there is so very little we actually know about the highly anticipated Avengers: Endgame. There are certain rumors stipulating that the film will feature elements of time travel and revisit scenes from prior Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. Could this time travel be connected to the Quantum Realm, a place we know, thanks to Ant-Man and the Wasp's Janet Van Dyne, contains time vortexes? Or is this all, once again, one big misdirect?
Whatever the answers are, we'll find out when the movie finally hits theaters next month.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau and Bradley Cooper, with Gwyneth Paltrow and Josh Brolin. The film arrives April 26.
