WARNING: The following article contains major spoilers for Avengers: Endgame, in theaters now.

Avengers: Endgame included a little nod to Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, who plays Korg.

When Bruce Banner and Rocket Raccoon arrive in New Asgard, established in Norway, they find Thor in a miserable state. At the time of this sequence, he lives in a shack the fan-favorite Korg and Miek, the larva-like alien, both of whom he met on Sakaar during the events of Ragnarok.

Now residing on Earth, the three unlikely friends live in a state of disarray. They have a stereotypical bachelor life in which they spend their days drinking beer, eating pizza and playing video games. As such, it's no surprise to find them dressed for leisure. Korg, in particular, has swapped his gladiator armor for a pineapple-print pink short set. If that looks familiar, it's because Waititi famously wore that same outfit in a photo he posted to Twitter.

Judging by Waititi's social media, he wore that outfit during the filming of Thor: Ragnarok. It returned for 2017's Comic-Con International in San Diego, where he donned the pink pineapples for his press junket with the cast. What's more, it was immortalized when Funko released a SDCC-exclusive Pop! vinyl figure of him last year.

So, when Korg appears in Endgame wearing this pineapple-dappled outfit, it isn't a coincidence. Because Waititi returns to portray the characetr, his new look undoubtedly a nod to the filmmaker's quirky fashion sense. On the heels of Ragnarok's box-office success, Marvel Studios must especially like Waititi -- which is good, because he plans on sticking around for a while.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Danai Gurira as Okoye and Bradley Cooper as Rocket, with Gwyneth Paltrow Pepper Potts, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Benedict Wong as Wong, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Josh Brolin as Thanos.
