Fans got a treat on Super Bowl Sunday with the release of a new TV spot for Avengers: Endgame. The 30-second spot included all-new footage, which has now been merged with the film's original teaser trailer for one emotional supercut.
The new merger clocks in at 2:45 and does a wonderful job of weaving scenes from the Super Bowl footage in with the teaser trailer.
The supercut begins with Tony Stark in space recording a message for Pepper Potts. However, instead of transitioning to the new Marvel Studios 10 Years logo, the video adds the quick cut of Earth's Mightiest Heroes who were dusted in Avengers: Infinity War. The next place a change is made happens after Captain America and Black Widow's discussion about their plan working, when we're then taken to the vacant Liberty Island and Citi Field.
The footage follows the Super Bowl spot up to Black Widow's gun range scene, then again jumps back to the teaser trailer for Ant-Man's surprise appearance at the Avengers Compound. Next, the Super Bowl spot returns and runs to its completion, before finally ending with the Avengers: Endgame logo filling the screen from the teaser trailer.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Chadwick Boseman, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Samuel L.
