Avengers: Endgame Fan Poster Pays Tribute to Stan Lee

Inspired by the batch of Avengers: Endgame character posters, one fan took the opportunity to pay respects to the late Stan Lee.

The recently released Avengers: Endgame posters have pulled at the heartstrings of Marvel fans, and one artist has taken it even further.

The official Endgame posters that debuted this week feature close-up shots of many of the MCU’s beloved characters with the tagline “Avenge the fallen.” Those characters who survived Infinity War are shown in color, while those who didn’t are shown in black-and-white.

Now, one viewer has upped the emotional impact even more with a fan poster featuring a close-up, black-and-white photo of Stan Lee, with the same tagline.

The poster seems quite popular on Reddit. For example, user MartiBrix comments, “Best poster of them all…” However, other users feel differently. User Daredevil2k says, “I think this is in poor taste.”

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Chadwick Boseman, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland and Anthony Mackie. The film opens April 26.
