Marvel's Avengers: Endgame came bursting with details for fans to obsessively pore over, but the recent reveal of the screenplay -- as part of Disney's "For Your Consideration" Oscar campaign -- only throws more fuel on the fire. There was only so much the blockbuster sequel could include on screen, and the script reveals several details that didn't quite make the cut. Namely, some noteworthy characters were snapped away that the movie never mentioned.

The reveal comes early, shortly after Tony Stark's return to Earth. While Tony reviews all of the data from the fallout from Thanos' obliteration of half of all life in the universe, the script includes the names of several characters who were among the casualties. Many of the names, like Wanda, Bucky and T'Challa, were seen on screen. However, a few others went unrevealed, until now.

The biggest names that stick out are Secretary Ross, Sharon Carter, Jane Foster and Wong. While little else is known about the affect their absences had on the world, there are several points of speculation that are easy to make.

Sharon Carter's inclusion on the list, for instance, would help to explain the seemingly abrupt end of her and Steve Rogers' romance. Captain America and his 21st-century love interest were last seen together in Captain America: Civil War, where they shared a kiss. Steve had to go on the run from the law shortly thereafter, and then the calamity of Infinity War didn't leave much room for romance.

But many fans may have wondered why, in the ensuing five year,  in which Steve wrestled with his grief, that he never bothered to continue his budding romance with Sharon. With the newly revealed details, it makes sense why Steve never looked up Sharon: She had been dusted, like so many others.

Some of those included in the casualty list are set to reappear soon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and that they were snapped away could alter their characterization. Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, already hellbent on his anti-superhero agenda, will reappear on the Disney+ series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier with his ire burning all the hotter. It's doubtful getting dusted made his outlook on super-beings any more generous.

Jane Foster is probably one of the biggest names on the list, as she is set to take up the mantle of Thor in Thor: Love & Thunder. While her disappearance further informs the characterization of the depressed Thor seen in Endgame, it could also influence how her character has changed since audiences last saw her.

While the casualty list helps answer some questions, it raises yet more. With Doctor Strange and Wong both gone during the five years, who served as the Sorcerer Supreme? The sorcerers' ranks were already thinned by during Doctor Strange, and with so many major figures removed in such quick succession, it's difficult to imagine the impact on all reality would be anything but immense. It could mean that Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness just got all the madder.
