As Avengers: Endgame continues to dominate the box office, it's not entirely surprising the film is proving to have better legs than its predecessor Avengers: Infinity War. The sequel may have a shot at truly overtaking Avatar as the highest-grossing movie of all time -- at least, judging by the film's repeat business.Fandango's Erik Davis revealed Avengers: Endgame is currently pulling in 85% more repeat business than Avengers: Infinity War. And while that doesn't guarantee Endgame will reach anywhere near Avatar's $2.78 billion, it's of note that Endgame is already sitting at $1.48 billion worldwide -- and it's not even a full week into release.RELATED: Avengers: Endgame Becomes 10th Highest Grossing Movie of All Time

For comparison, Avengers: Infinity War took 11 days to cross $1 billion at the worldwide box office this time last year. The film went on to earn $678.8 million domestically and $1.3 billion internationally, bringing its final haul to an impressive $2.04 billion worldwide. As it currently stands, Avengers: Endgame has already amassed $427 million domestically and $1.05 billion internationally. It remains to be seen just how far Endgame goes, but a $2 billion finish looks reachable. Whether or not Endgame can get closer to Avatar's $2.78 billion, however, will depend on how well the film continues to hold in coming weeks.
