Fans who saw Avengers: Endgame within the first few weeks of its release quickly realized the film had no post-credits scene. However, that's about the change. Moviegoers seeing the film this weekend will be treated to a post-credits scene in the form of the new Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer.
The second Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer was released on Monday and featured something never before seen in a movie trailer: a spoiler warning. Star Tom Holland delivered a message at the beginning of the trailer, warning those who haven't seen Endgame to stop watching or be spoiled.
According to Deadline, the Far From Home trailer "already held Sony’s 24-hour record (130 million views) set in January by the Far From Home teaser trailer." The Far From Home trailer still trails the three biggest launches in Hollywood history, all of which are Disney films: Avengers: Endgame (289 million) and Avengers: Infinity War (236 million) from Marvel Studios, followed by The Lion King (224.6 million).
Opening July 2, director Jon Watts’ Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland, Samuel L. Jackson, Zendaya, Cobie Smulders, Jon Favreau, JB Smoove, Jacob Batalon and Martin Starr, with Marisa Tomei and Jake Gyllenhaal. Avengers: Endgame is currently in theaters.
