An Avengers: Endgame photographer has released new set photos showing a different Nano Gauntlet than fans had previously seen in the film's release.

Set photographer Chuck Zlotnick has worked on a myriad of films for Disney's Marvel Studios, including the likes of Captain Marvel, Avengers: Infinity War and Spider-Man Homecoming, and has posted many candid or behind-the-scenes photos on his personal website. However, his most recent upload features Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) holding a version of the Nano Gauntlet before any post-production visual effects have been applied.

It is clear from the Zlotnick's photo that the gauntlet pictured is the original on-set prop version of the Nano Gauntlet that was used for the action sequences depicted in the film's climax. This prop version may have always been intended as a place holder, but there is also the possibility that it was intended to be a more rugged substitute that, because of it's less metallic material than the final product, would have fewer reflections from on-set lighting.

The film's final gauntlet would go on to have a much sleeker design and included a color scheme more in line with Tony Stark's Iron Man armor.

The overall look of the gauntlet is much more in line with the Infinity Gauntlet depicted in the previous Marvel Cinematic Universe installments, which had more of a medieval armor gauntlet look using a gold color palette and solid finger joints rather than the eventual futuristic nanotechnology style of the final film's gauntlet.

With the delay of Marvel's Black Widow due to coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, fans of Marvel's Avengers can at least look to Zlotnick's set photos to gain further insight into the making of the highest-grossing film of all time while satisfying that MCU itch.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Danai Gurira as Okoye and Bradley Cooper as Rocket, with Gwyneth Paltrow Pepper Potts, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Benedict Wong as Wong, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Josh Brolin as Thanos. The film is available on Digital HD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD.
