Avengers: Endgame - One Theater Is Offering MCU Marathoners Shower Stations

The release of Avengers: Endgame, which not only resolves the cliffhanger ending of last year's Avengers: Infinity War but also wraps up 10 years of interconnected films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is enough of a big deal for fans to take their planning for it quite seriously. For those who want to do a full rewatch first, some theater chains are helping out (and cashing in) with ticket deals to attend a marathon of all previous movies, finishing with an early screening of Endgame.

In the case of Showcase Cinemas' Marvel Studios 22-Movie Marathon, the fun begins on the morning of April 23 and ends on the evening of April 25, which naturally raises questions of basic human needs for those willing to pay their $90 fee and commit to the entire event. The comfy recliner chairs make it easy to nap during the less popular films, and of course there will be plenty of discounted food available, but what about hygiene?

Well, Showcase Cinema de Lux Revere in Revere, Massachusetts has a solution. "Along with the films, Marathon ticket holders will be offered meal breaks & shower stations," the theater's promotional site promises. "Check out the schedule, reserve your seat and sit back and relax for a couple of days!"

Whether any true MCU fan will be able to relax while anticipating the culmination of the greatest crossover event in cinematic history is its own question, but the option to wash up sounds like a game-changer for movie marathons. Those viewers at Cinema de Lux Revere who choose to take showers will probably be hoping fervently that those seated nearby will make the same choice.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau and Bradley Cooper, with Gwyneth Paltrow and Josh Brolin.
