Avengers: Endgame was an emotional rollercoaster not only for fans, but for a director as well. Co-director Joe Russo revealed there is one scene that makes him tear up every time he watches it.

It also turns out this was a scene that was originally supposed to appear in Avengers: Infinity War. Russo said the scene in question is the one that starts the movie. The scene shows Hawkeye at his farm with his wife and kids as they are preparing for a picnic. when the snap takes his entire family away.

“I've got four kids, and it's a very tragic scene to open the movie with. It's one of the few scenes in the movie that actually makes me tear up when I watch it, because I think about my own family,” Russo told Empire Magazine. “And then you think about what would happen to you, as a father. You'd become very self-destructive.”

The scene was originally supposed to appear at the end of Infinity War to show how the snap destroyed lives -- even away from the battlefields. However, according to a previous comment by Joe Russo in a Facebook live event, they felt switching to Hawkeye -- who was not in Infinity War -- would have been too confusing for viewers. As a result, it was the start of Avengers: Endgame and showed how the snap destroyed everyone -- even one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
