In Avengers: Endgame, writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely build on the Hulk’s 11-year character arc by showcasing Bruce Banner’s self-mastery of the Big Green Goliath with all of his varied strengths and weaknesses. The result is Professor Hulk, a being of immense power and intelligence, combining Banner’s mind with the Green Rage Monster’s world-breaking brawn and physical durability.
While the Hulk stayed green throughout the entirety of Endgame, one viral post is imagining how Professor Hulk could've looked a little bit different.
One Reddit user, Derpston_P_Derp, debuted a flesh-colored version of Professor Hulk on Marvel Studios’ unofficial subreddit. He writes, “Making Prof. Hulk not green is still incredibly unsettling and kind of terrifying.”
One Reddit user calls it the ultimate superior super soldier serum, just without the Hulking side-effects. Others likened the image to several other larger-than-life characters, like Wreck-it-Ralph, Mr. Hyde from the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Luther from Netflix's The Umbrella Academy, Human Shrek, X-Men's Beast/Hank McCoy and the villain Juggernaut/Cain Marko.
