Fans can get their best look yet at how Thanos may appear in Avengers: Endgame, the conclusion of a story constructed over the course of a decade in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The upcoming issue of Empire Magazine features the Mad Titan on the cover, as a recent Instagram post shows.
If the cover is any indication, it appears Thanos will once again don the armor he propped up as the universe's most battle-ready scarecrow in the teaser trailer for Avengers: Endgame. Thanos will need it when he inevitably faces the Avengers for a second time and attempts to prevent Earth's Mightiest Heroes from undoing the Decimation that wiped out half of all life in the universe.
Fans may find the cover's depiction of Thanos interesting since the gauntlet on his hand appears to be completely undamaged, despite it almost being completely ruined following Thanos' universe-altering snap.
Of course, this is simply artwork and is likely not an accurate depiction of Thanos as audiences will see him in the upcoming film. It is understandable to doubt its accuracy considering the level of secrecy surrounding the film and the lengths Marvel Studios has gone to in order to maintain it.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau and Bradley Cooper, with Gwyneth Paltrow and Josh Brolin. The film arrives April 26.
