Ever since Joe Biden entered the 2020 presidential race, a great number of Marvel fans have brought attention to the uncanny resemblance between Biden and the elder version of Chris Evans' Captain America shown in the final scene of Avengers: Endgame. Now that Biden has been elected the forty-sixth president of the United States, a new Deepfake video imagines what it would be like if the country's newest leader played Evans' role in the famous scene.

The creator behind the video, stryder HD, included a comment on the thought process behind his latest creation, saying, "The first time I saw 'Old' Captain America in Avengers: Endgame I knew he reminded me of someone and I couldn't think of who it was exactly, but now I 100% know it was our current President-Elect Joe Biden. I've gotten some requests to do an edit/deepfake like this and I hope you all enjoy!"

The scene plays out the same way it does in the 2019 film, but with Biden's face in place of Evans' as well as a few more notable differences. Evans' voice has been manipulated to match Biden's while a triumphant background score accompanies the moment. Likewise, scenes from various other MCU movies featuring Cap have been edited in to accentuate the Star-Spangled Avenger's dialogue as he passes his iconic shield over to Sam Wilson.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Danai Gurira as Okoye and Bradley Cooper as Rocket, with Gwyneth Paltrow Pepper Potts, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Benedict Wong as Wong, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Josh Brolin as Thanos.
