WARNING: The following article contains potential spoilers for Avengers: Endgame, in theaters April 26.

As the release of Avengers: Endgame approaches, fans have been analyzing every detail they can find to ascertain plot points from the film, which are closely guarded by Marvel Studios and Disney. That being said, it seems Serena Williams, famed tennis player, may have let slip a crucial detail about the events of the upcoming film.

In an Instagram video featuring covertly-taken footage of Chris Evans at the Academy Awards, Williams' friend can be heard describing their actions, explaining that they were pretending to take a selfie in order to film Evans. Williams can then be heard saying that she was "devastated that he died in that movie, Avengers" which was quickly followed by a reminder from her friend about the secrecy surrounding the film and that detail in particular.

The video was soon deleted but has since been reposted by fan accounts. Judging from her description of "that movie," it's uncertain whether Williams has divulged accurate information about Avengers: Endgame or if she confused details from Avengers: Infinity War.

In any case, fans have speculated that Captain America -- among other prominent characters -- would meet his end in Endgame since the end of Infinity War, based on Evans' declaration that he would not be renewing his contract after filming for the fourth Avengers film had wrapped. So, his demise in the upcoming film would not come as a total surprise, regardless of Williams' unintentional slip.
