When the biggest heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe weren't trying to save the universe in Avengers: Endgame, they were usually eating. From the peanut-butter and jelly sandwich that switched hands between Black Widow, Captain America and Ant-Man to the Hulk's unusually large portions of diner food and Ant-Man's ill-fated tacos, food was at the center of Endgame's most light-hearted human moments. Now, Endgame star Karen Gillan has revealed a behind-the-scenes glimpse at another meal the Avengers who survived Avengers: Infinity War had together.RELATED: Avengers: Endgame Photo Shows the Cast at Tony Stark's Funeral

While it's not totally clear whether this is just a candid shot of the cast hanging out on set or a glimpse of a scene that didn't make it into the final film, Gillan is in her full Nebula costume and describes the image with the caption, "Nebula's first Chinese take-away with the gang."

Without the computer-generated Hulk or Rocket Raccoon, the image shows all of the Avengers in the civilian costumes they wore before their time-traveling escapade during the film and appears to have been taken on the set of the team's headquarters.

Whether by design or happenstance, the framing of the image also bears a striking resemblance to the post-credits scene from 2012's The Avengers, where the team ate shawarma after the Battle of New York. In both shots, the team sits around a table for a meal as Chris Evans rests his arms on the table while Robert Downey Jr. sits at attention.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Danai Gurira as Okoye and Bradley Cooper as Rocket, with Gwyneth Paltrow Pepper Potts, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Benedict Wong as Wong, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Josh Brolin as Thanos. The film is in theaters now.
