It’s been said that time heals all wounds, but if the recent trailers are any indication, the undisclosed time jump in Avengers: Endgame clearly isn’t going to be long enough to erase the pain of watching Thanos dust half the universe – and especially not for Black Widow.
Scarlett Johansson explained not only is Black Widow not ready to move on after the events of Avengers: Infinity War, but she’s angrier and more dead set on revenge than ever before.
“When we find her [in Endgame], she’s fucking pissed off,” Johansson told Empire. “The one thing we know about Natasha is that she’s going to hunker down and she’s going to get those motherfuckers. That’s her MO.”
Johansson also explained there’s no hero better suited to the task than Black Widow.
“Nat is a very pragmatic person,” the actor said. “She’s looking for answers. She was trained, and born and bred to finish the job.”
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau and Bradley Cooper, with Gwyneth Paltrow and Josh Brolin. The film arrives April 26.
