Avengers: Endgame Had Black Panther Return First - Here's Why

Black Panther Chadwick Boseman

The climax of Avengers: Endgame saw every hero who died from Thanos' snap return to aid Earth's Mightiest Heroes in taking down the Mad Titan once and for all. Black Panther was the first hero to physically return, with his soldiers among the ranks of the Avengers' allies in the final battle. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo have now revealed why Black Panther was first.

In an AMA on Reddit, one fan asked about the order in which heroes arrived through various portals and how the directorial duo chose who to have appear first.

"We spent a lot of time in the edit room playing around with the sequencing of the portals," Joe replied. And the first person that would logically walk through a portal from Wakanda would be the king himself, bringing his army once again to the defense of Cap and the world."
