Avengers: Endgame - AMC Theatres Advertising an Epic Runtime

AMC Theatres and Fandango are reporting a runtime for Avengers: Endgame that's epically long, even for a Marvel Cinematic Universe film.

Avengers: Endgame might have just been confirmed as the longest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by a pretty wide margin.

AMC Theatres revealed on its website that the movie would run for three hours and two minutes, though that information was later taken. We've included a screencap of the page before it was changed below. Fandango tweeted out coverage of a story on that runtime, potentially confirming it as well.

At this time, it's unknown if this will actually be the final runtime. However, the film's final cut is apparently locked in. Adding credence to this is the fact that director Joe Russo did not rule out a three-hour runtime during an interview in December, saying, "There's a high probability that this movie will clock in at around three hours. It's a big movie with a lot of story."

As Avengers: Infinity War ran for two hours and forty minutes, a three hour and two minute runtime would make Endgame the longest movie in the Marvel cinematic universe by about twenty-seven minutes.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau and Bradley Cooper, with Gwyneth Paltrow and Josh Brolin. The film arrives April 26.
