There are a lot of stories surrounding bizarre happenings at Avengers: Endgame screenings, including a woman potentially exposing an entire theater to measles and a man reportedly being beaten outside a cinema for spoiling the film. The latest such report comes out of South Korea, and involves a Republic of Korea Air Force soldier who gave new meaning to the phrase "whatever it takes" in his quest to see the highly-anticipated Marvel film.

According to South Korea's WowTV, the soldier briefly went AWOL while his squad was meant to be performing public services. It was soon discovered that he had gone to a local theater in order to catch a showing of Endgame.

In a statement translated by Kotaku, the soldier said, "I wanted to see the Avengers movie so I ran away from the site while we were standing by."

The soldier was ultimately tracked down with the help of the taxi driver who had taken him to the movie theater in the first place. He was reportedly arrested as he was leaving the theater and his actions are currently under investigation.
