Following the record-breaking success of Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel Studios shows no signs of slowing down as it returns to the set for Avengers 4 reshoots and aims to wrap filming on the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel by the end of the year.
With audiences still reeling from the events of Infinity War, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige isn't resting on his laurels. Ant-Man and The Wasp arrives in July, followed in March 2019 by Captain Marvel and in May by Avengers 4. Even with Phase Three winding to a close, work is already under way on the Spider-Man sequel, which will launch the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo filmed Infinity War and Avengers 4 back to back, but now they're set to begin reshoots this summer. Posting on Twitter, Omega Underground's Christopher Marc confirms that Avengers 4 will complete reshoots by Sept. 1, with principal photography for Spider-Man sequel expected to wrap by the end of December.

Even with Avengers 4 having finished filming months ago, the reshoots could add any number of storylines or characters to the mix. Atlanta and New York are familiar filming locations for the franchise, and the report lines up with Chris Evans' comments that he will wave goodbye to the MCU with Avengers 4 reshoots around this period.
For the next Spider-Man movie, Michael Keaton is rumored to return as Adrian Toomes, aka Vulture, and Jake Gyllenhaal is tipped to play Mysterio. In terms of where director Jon Watt's sequel will take place, fans are promised that the next installment will move beyond the confines of New York City. However, what is coming beyond the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel is anyone's guess.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is expected to arrive in 2020, and fans already know the MCU has locked in six untitled movies or 2021 and 2022. With Avengers 4 and Homecoming 2 filming over the next few months, expect a slew of set photos to have everyone talking about these movies. Either way, it shows that the MCU is committed to churning out its blockbusters and keep those Marvel movies coming for the foreseeable future.
Avengers 4 arrives in theaters on May 3, 2019, and the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel is scheduled to follow July 5, 2019
