In the photos, Paltrow stands alongside Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark) and Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/The Hulk), as well as Iron Man alum Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan). Paltrow, who debuted as Tony Stark's love interest in the first Iron Man film, has not yet been officially confirmed for Avengers 4, but the photos appear to show that she will indeed be involved.

Additionally, Downey Jr.'s assistant Jimmy Rich shared two new photos of Paltrow with the hashtag #InfinityWar:

Paltrow's Pepper Potts was conspicuously absent from Avengers: Age of Ultron, despite the fact that she was romantically involved with Tony Stark. Her absence was explained away in Captain America: Civil War, where Tony revealed that they were taking a break. Because of this, many speculated that Paltrow would not reup her contract with Marvel Studios. However, Paltrow made her Marvel Cinematic Universe return in Spider-Man: Homecoming, where she and Tony intended to throw a news conference about the Avengers' latest recruit before Peter Parker voluntarily backed down.

In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Pepper's relationship with Tony seemed to take a turn for the serious when Tony revealed his intentions to propose. Though the film concludes without showing Pepper's answer to Tony's big question, these set photos appear to confirm that Pepper does indeed say yes. In one of the set photos, Paltrow clearly wears a big engagement ring on her left hand.

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo announced the start of principal photography for Avengers 4 with a photo of a purple glove with four fingers extended. Filming is scheduled to continue until December at Pinewood Atlanta Studios, the primary location for Captain America: Civil War, Ant-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming and the upcoming Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man & the Wasp.

Debuting in theaters on May 4, 2018, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Benedict Wong, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland and Anthony Mackie. Avengers 4 is expected to hit theaters on May 3, 2019.
