An older version of Cassie Lang, the daughter of Scott "Ant-Man" Lang, may appear in the as-yet untitled Avengers 4.

According to That Hashtag Show, up-and-coming actress Emma Fuhrmann (Blended) has reportedly been cast as Cassie Lang in the follow-up to Avengers: Infinity War. While this report should be taken with a grain of salt, as no other outlets have yet confirmed the addition of Fuhrmann, it's worth noting that leaked set photos seem to suggest that time travel could very well be involved in Avengers 4, and the decision to bring in an older Cassie would definitely fall in line with that.

Interestingly enough, Fuhrmann retweeted Marvel Studios' 10-year-retrospective video earlier today with a single word: "Chills."

Earlier this month, she also retweeted the official Ant-Man Twitter account's tweet wishing Paul Rudd a Happy Birthday. Though this doesn't confirm her involvement with Marvel Studios, it could indicate that she's trying to tease her rumored role. After all, Marvel Studios is going above and beyond to protect the secrets of Infinity War, going so far start a #ThanosDemandsYourSilence campaign online, so the studio is probably trying to keep a lid on Avengers 4 details.

Ten-year-old actress Abby Ryder Fortson currently plays the role of Cassie Lang in the Ant-Man films and is set to make her return with Ant-Man and the Wasp in July. With many theorizing that Avengers 4 will use time travel in some capacity, the film could use Fuhrmann to age Cassie up in order to bring us Stature or Stinger, possibly even leading to Young Avengers in Phase Four.
