Avengers: Infinity War has dominated both the box office and the ratings. With plenty of twists and turns that threw away the old Marvel formula, it's no wonder that the film was such a hit. Ending with the Mad Titan snapping his fingers and half of our favorite heroes disappearing into dust, it was a grim final moment for a film ten years in the making. However, if star Chris Hemsworth is to be believed, Avengers 4 will top that shocking moment.

Hemsworth, in an interview with Esquire, stated that he thought the fourth Avengers movie was even more shocking than Infinity War, especially after reading through both scripts. He adds on to that by saying that it's shocking for "different reasons," so it's likely that the film will be using different elements to grip the audience.

“If you were shocked by [Infinity War], I think the second one is even more shocking," Hemsworth teased, "for other reasons entirely. That’s what kind of blew me away the first time I read both scripts, is how they managed to orchestrate so many different characters but give them each their own separate shot and moments, and have it be elevated and feel fresh and unique - not just like a messy, thrown-together assembly of these guys.”

Considering how big of a success and event Infinity War was, it's not surprising to hear that Marvel is trying to keep that momentum and reportedly up the ante for the final chapter of Phase 3.

Of course, there aren't many other details we know about the film, as Marvel has been tight-lipped regarding the project. Likewise, all of Hemsworth's comments were kept close to the chest and didn't reveal anything other than how he felt about the movie.

Avengers 4 is set for release on May 3, 2019.
