Fans are waiting eagerly for more information on Avengers 4, the still-untitled sequel to Avengers: Infinity War, but so far Marvel has been adamantly refusing to drop the slightest hint about the film's plot. What they have revealed is that Avengers 4 is going to be big, and the emphasis seems to imply that nobody is going to be ready for it, no matter how much they think they are.

Joe Russo, who is co-director of the film alongside his brother Anthony Russo, took a moment to answer some fan questions while having a drink at Duello, his new cocktail bar in Los Angeles, California. Naturally, one question inquired about what's at risk when we return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe next year.

"Will the stakes be higher in Avengers 4?" Russo cast a coy look at the camera as he answered, "Absolutely. One hundred percent. I mean, the highest of any of the films to date, without question."

Since the previous film had half of all life in the universe as its stakes, it's hard to guess at how they're going to top that. Then again, there is that other half of the universe to worry about.
