Avengers 4: Holland Teases the Importance of the Quantum Realm

Tom Holland may have revealed that Ant-Man and the Wasp's Quantum Realm will be the key to the Avengers defeating Thanos in Avengers 4.

Appearing alongside Doctor Strange's Benedict Cumberbatch in an interview posted by Emergency Awesome on YouTube, the pair were asked about the difficulties in delivering their lines in the film, prompting Holland to add that Cumberbatch's lines are much more difficult. "He has the most difficult lines though," Holland said. "He has to talk about so much Quantum Realm stuff. I just have to talk about, ‘Yeah, man, that’s awesome!’ So mine is easy but his is so difficult!"

What's interesting about Holland's comments is that the Quantum Realm was hardly discussed in Avengers: Infinity War, and short of Doctor Strange, who's consciousness was briefly sent through the Quantum Realm by the Ancient One in Doctor Strange, only Ant-Man has been there before. So, while the importance of the Quantum Realm in Avengers 4 remains to be seen, Holland's comments seem to suggest it will factor heavily.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers 4 stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Brie Larson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Evangeline Lilly, and Josh Brolin. The film is set to hit theaters on May 3, 2019.
