Avengers: Infinity War was the most emotionally taxing film Marvel has made thus far. Moviegoers watched in sorrow as Thanos (Josh Brolin) used the power of the Infinity Gauntlet to eradicate several of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most beloved heroes in an attempt to bring his own warped vision of balance to the universe.

It's likely the upcoming fourth Avengers movie will continue to pull at heartstrings, and one YouTuber, Smasher, has shown how that may go down in a new fan-made trailer.

As the video opens, fans revisit the infamous ending of Infinity War as several Avengers reel from the fallout of Thanos' victory in Wakanda. This is followed by a scene from Avengers: Age of Ultron in which Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) claims the team will lose, to which Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) rebutts, "then we'll lose together."

What follows are more emotional scenes from other Marvel movies, such as Doctor Strange and, of course, Infinity War, before ending with a voice-over from Tony saying: "That up there? That's the end game." The fan trailer ends with an ominous caption that reads "the Avengers will return."
