With so much of Avengers 4 still shrouded in mystery, fans are wondering if Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton will indeed be Ronin in the Avengers: Infinity War sequel. Well, thanks to some fan art, we have an idea of how awesome he could look.

Instagram user ultraraw26 posted an illustration showing Barton foregoing his past as Hawkeye and donning Ronin's signature costume -- from the hood to the entire black suit -- along with the ninja's iconic katanas. Hawkeye didn't appear in Infinity War, but the Russo Brothers have made it clear he has a big role to play as the Avengers aim to undo Thanos' genocidal snap.

So far, nothing is known about Hawkeye's missions during Thanos' raid on Earth, or what he's been up to thereafter. In the comics, the archer became Ronin (which means "masterless samurai") after he felt Tony Stark betrayed the Avengers in Civil War, which led to Captain America's death.

With the Sokovia Accords still outlawing unregistered heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Barton may become Ronin to protect his identity and his family. Of course, that's hoping they survived Thanos' snap too. Nonetheless, now we have an epic look at what a movie/character poster could look like with Ronin ready for action in the moonlight.

The untitled sequel to Avengers: Infinity War will release on May 3, 2019. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, it stars Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Samuel L.
