New photos from the set of Marvel's Avengers 4 suggest Tony Stark's Binarily Augmented Retro-Framing (B.A.R.F.) technology from Captain America: Civil War will be used in the upcoming film.

Photographer Joe Passori captured photos from the film's Atlanta set, showing an orange briefcase with the name of Tony's augmented reality tech scrawled on masking tape. If you'll recall, one of the opening sequences in Civil War included Tony giving a presentation to M.I.T. alumni, where he introduced B.A.R.F. His demonstration consisted of a recreation of the last time he saw his parents alive, with its intended purpose to help people clear their minds of traumatic experiences.

The decision to include B.A.R.F in Avengers 4 is a curious one. Many of the recent set photos appear to be recreating moments from the first Avengers movie, with Captain America donning his uniform from that film, and the surroundings replicating the Battle of New York. What if this look at the past is somehow being assisted by B.A.R.F.? And if so, it would make the tech's brief appearance in Civil War a nice Easter egg by directors Joe and Anthony Russo.
