While we've seen concept art of Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, we've not actually glimpsed the Oscar winner in costume. However, that could soon changed, as the actress has arrived at Pinewood Atlanta Studios to begin filming her role in the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War.
The news arrives courtesy of the ever-watchful Atlanta Filming, which noted that Larson and Captain America actor Chris Evans are now at the Fayettesville, Georgia, studio, site of principal photography of Avengers 4 and Ant-Man & The Wasp, as well as such previous films as Infinity War, Black Panther, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Larson was previously rumored to debut as Captain Marvel in Infinity War, but that was shot down in July by co-director Joe Russo.
Following this film, Larson will return to the role of Carol Danvers in her own 2019 solo film, directed by by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. She'll be joined by Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland and Anthony Mackie. The film opens May 4, 2018.
