Created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, Avatar: The Last Airbender stands as one of the best cartoons ever made, which started its run in 2005 and lasted three seasons. The show followed the adventures of Avatar Aang and his group of friends as Aang worked towards fulfilling his destiny as the Avatar and bringing balance to the war-torn world. The award-winning series was a commercial and critical success, with critics praising its direction, humor, cultural references, characters, and themes, and in 2014, Nickelodeon started airing the sequel to the original series, titled The Legend of Korra, which ran for four seasons. The new show was centered around the new Avatar, a Waterbender named Korra and her team as they faced various obstacles together in order to keep Republic City safe. Much like its predecessor, Legend of Korra was well received by the critics who praised the series for addressing issues like social unrest and violence, as well as race, gender, and orientation.

Both shows have massive fandoms and have become timeless classics. There's a lot to love about both of these series and they are most definitely deserving of all the praise they've been getting over the years. Fans of the show have created an impressive fan art gallery that you can lose yourself in for a few hours at least. This massive collection also includes fascinating crossovers with various movies, TV shows, anime, and even books. With that being said, we did our best to find the best 25 Pieces Of Avatar Crossover Fan Art just for you!

25 AVATAR RISING

Eric Yan TRON Avatar The Last Airbender

Disney’s TRON franchise didn’t quite turn out to be the commercial and critical success the studio was undoubtedly hoping for, but it does have a cult following. If you spend any amount of time on platforms like DeviantArt, you’re bound to find tons of TRON fan art even today.

Given the franchises’ cult status, we were not surprised to find that an artist has decided to make a crossover between TRON and Avatar. Eric Yan drew this TRON version of Aang for an office drawing jam and we think his Aang looks pretty amazing.

24 KORRA CROFT

Sol Ferrari Avatar Legend of Korra Tomb Raider

The Tomb Raider franchise has been around for more than twenty years now. Don’t worry, we’ll give you a moment to wrap your head around that. When the first Tomb Raider game came out in 1996, it became a big commercial success, with some critics hailing it as one of the greatest video games of all time.

Fast forward to today and we’ve got twelve games in the main series, as well as a number of spin-offs, mobile games, and three movies. The heroine Lara Croft enjoys the status of a pop culture icon, and Sol Ferrari reimagined Avatar Korra in this iconic role.

23 ZUKO AND KATARA IN PRIDE AND PREJUDICE

Painted Fire Lady Avatar The Last Airbender Pride and Prejudice

One of the most popular novels in English literature, Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, follows the emotional development of Elizabeth Bennet while offering comedic social commentary on manners, education, marriage, and money. It’s a classic that most people will find enjoyable to read.

The artist who goes by Painted Fire Lady is a big fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender and English literature, so she decided to draw her favorite Avatar ship (or couple) as Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy from Austen’s novel.

22 BOOK FIVE: THE FORCE AWAKENS

Geitenkaas Star Wars Avatar Legend of Korra

In 2015, the Star Wars franchise made yet another comeback ten years after the release of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. The Force Awakens introduced us to a new cast of characters and brought back the original heroes, much to everyone's delight.

At the center of Episode VII were Rey and Finn, the scavenger from Jakku and the reformed First Order stormtrooper, respectively. The artist who goes by nymre decided to reimagine the heroines of The Legend of Korra as the two new hopes of the Rebellion. We have to admit, it’s a fitting mashup.

21 BENDING CORPS

PencilPaperPassion Avatar Legend of Korra Attack on Titan

Whether you consider Avatar an anime or not, it’s hard to argue with the awesomeness of the crossovers between Avatar and popular shonen anime. At the moment, one of the most popular anime is still the gore galore Attack on Titan, and fans of both shows have created some pretty amazing mashup fan art pieces.

The DeviantArt artist who goes by PencilPaperPassion reimagined Korra and Mako from The Legend of Korra as members of Attack on Titan’s military. Notice the badges on their shoulders and how they feature the symbols for water and fire, which is a very cool touch.

20 ASSASSIN’S CREED: CONFRONTATION

Assassin’s Creed is a fascinating video game franchise whose story spans centuries. The latest installment, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, is legitimately one of the best games of 2018. Over the course of roughly ten years, we’ve had the pleasure of meeting a number of different Assassins from all around the world and from various time periods.

Artist moni158 created her own little corner in the vast universe of Assassin’s Creed where Korra has assumed the role of an assassin. Featured above is her new identity as she looks to be on the verge of uncovering something dangerous!

19 CALL IT MAGIC

MadVanilia Avatar Legend of Korra Harry Potter

Bolin is one of the sweetest characters in all of Avatar. He’s kind, funny, and he’s a great friend. Unfortunately, his kindness often came at a high price. In season two, Bolin met Eska, Korra’s not-so-kind cousin, who loved bossing Bolin around and fans were happy to see her go.

Aleksandra Dębska reimagined the couple as students at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Eska would most definitely end up in the Slytherin house, while the sweet Bolin would fit right in with Hufflepuffs.

18 LEGEND OF MONONOKE-HIME

Marina-Shads Princess Mononoke Avatar Legend of Korra

Hayao Miyazaki’s critically acclaimed epic historical fantasy film Princess Mononoke still stands as one of the best anime movies of all time, and one of Miyazaki’s best films. Aside from looking gorgeous, Princess Mononoke has incredible characters, a compelling narrative, and deals with complex moral issues.

The Legend of Korra has all these things as well, so it seems reasonable enough to combine the two worlds. Marina-Shads did just that, creating this stunning take on Princess Mononoke with Korra as San.

17 BENDERS VS. TITANS

MadVanilia Avatar The Last Airbender Attack on Titan

Attack on Titan's eagerly awaited third season is currently on hiatus until the 2019 spring season kicks off. We're all excited to see the continuation of (thus-far) the oddest arc in the show, but until then, we're just gonna have to make do with the immense fan art gallery.

Aleksandra Dębska wanted to see what it would look like if the characters from Avatar: The Last Airbender somehow ended up fighting titans. And let's be honest, the boys look great in their military uniforms and the maneuver gear.

16 ASAMI SATO, A.K.A BATGIRL

ZedEdge Avatar Legend of Korra Batgirl

Though she was the only non-bender on Team Avatar, Asami Sato more than pulled her weight. The daughter of a wealthy industrialist, Asami refused to be labeled  “daddy’s little girl” and instead, learned at a young age to stand up for herself. Asami is a capable engineer, she’s trained in hand-to-hand combat, and she’s an expert driver.

Due to her fascinating skill set, it’s not difficult to see why some would think she’d make a fine superhero. ZedEdge decided to put Asami in the role of Batgirl and we think she looks awesome.

15 KATARA AND ZUKO DUEL IT OUT

shorelle Star Wars Avatar The Last Airbender

There sure are a lot of Avatar and Star Wars crossovers out there! Not that we mind one bit, given that both are amazing, and, surprisingly enough, blend incredibly well. Desiree Surjadi created this amazing Star Wars/Avatar AU as a birthday gift for a friend.

You probably recognize the scene that this fan art is referencing from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Katara and Zuko took the roles of Rey and Kylo Ren, respectively, to duel it out lightsaber style. The fact that the colors are a perfect match is fortuitous indeed.

14 ASSASSIN’S CREED: THE EQUALISTS

moni158 Avatar Legend of Korra Assassin's Creed Amon

In season one of Legend of Korra, our titular heroine faced off against Amon and his group of Equalists. The Equalists were an anti-bending revolutionary group based in Republic City that evolved into a violent organization under Amon’s misguided leadership.

All four of the series’ main villains were compelling, but Amon stands as arguably the best Legend of Korra offender. Artist moni158 reimagined Amon as an assassin from Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed, and the result, as you can see, is mesmerizing.

13 BEING BAD NEVER FELT SO GOOD

Painted Fire Lady Avatar The Last Airbender Villains

One of the key adversaries Avatar Aang faced was none other than Zuko’s younger sister, Azula. Azula and her two friends, Mai and Ty Lee, chased Team Avatar and Zuko far across the Earth Kingdom. Dubbed by the fans as Ozai’s Angels, the trio was a formidable enemy of Team Avatar.

Painted Fire Lady decided to dress them up, fittingly if we may add, into villainous Halloween costumes. The circus spook Ty Lee became Harley Quinn, the stoic and dark Mai transformed into Morticia Addams, and the mean/narcissistic Azula became the Wicked Queen.

12 TRICK OR TREAT

Painted Fire Lady Avatar The Last Airbender

Of course, the villains aren’t the only ones who get to dress up for Halloween. Painted Fire Lady made sure to let the heroes have some fun as well, as Team Avatar looks all set to go trick or treating in their awesome costumes.

Zuko is Jon Snow from Game of Thrones, Katara is dressed as Moana, Aang is going as Harry Potter, Suki and Sokka are Princess Leia and Han Solo from Star Wars, respectively, and Toph is a ghostbuster. While all of these are awesome, Zuko's is by far the most interesting.

11 AVATAR GIRLS

Paola Szkudlarek Powerpuff Girls Avatar Legend of Korra

In the fictional town of Townsville, three kindergarteners with superpowers, Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, use their abilities to fight local criminals. The popular Cartoon Network show, Powerpuff Girls, is a cartoon pretty much everyone grew up with.

Artist Paola Szkudlarek is a big fan of Powerpuff Girls, as well as The Legend of Korra, so she created this fun little mashup. Asami, whose main color is red, became Blossom, the blue-clad, Waterbender Korra turned into Bubbles, and the Earth Kingdom Airbender Opal took the role of Buttercup.

10 AVATAR: A NEW HOPE

Ashley Riot Avatar Legend of Korra Star Wars

There’s something incredibly beautiful/charming about old movie posters, and the artwork for the first Star Wars film produced one of the most iconic and recognizable posters ever created. So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that artists are designing similar posters for other movies and shows in the style used for Star Wars: A New Hope.

Ashley Riot created this astonishing Star Wars-inspired poster for The Legend of Korra. Even though Ashley had to work with far more characters, she managed to make everything fit so incredibly well. Kudos!

9 SHE’S HERE TO RESTORE BALANCE

N-Maulina Avatar Legend of Korra Attack on Titan

The opening sequence of Legend of Korra states that only the Avatar can bring balance to the world, and ironically, the final season is titled “Book Four: Balance.” Obviously, balance is an important theme that stretches through all four seasons of Legend of Korra, so in the series finale, Korra does indeed manage to bring balance to the world.

Alternatively, perhaps she can do the same for the messed-up world of Attack on Titan. Well, judging by N-Maulina’s awesome fan art, the Avatar is ready to wreak havoc on titans and restore balance once and for all.

8 K.O.R.R.A.

Alejandro González Avatar Legend of Korra Friends

Well, we certainly didn’t see this coming. Among the oddest crossovers, we found this awesome Legend of Korra rendition of the iconic (and hilarious) Friends promo poster. Since this was the 1990s, Friends had some pretty bizarre posters. We're still unsure of what this one was supposed to be.

Artist Alejandro González gave this unforgettable poster his own spin by replacing the six friends with Legend of Korra characters. Bolin as Chandler is spot-on, and Asami, of course, is the perfect stand-in for Rachel, but Tenzin as Ross is what really cracks us up.

7 FULLMETAL BENDING

artist-omako Avatar Legend of Korra Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Avatar, both The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra, are fantastic series. If by any chance you have yet to check out any of them, we encourage you to do so at your earliest convenience.

DeviantArt user artist-omako is a big fan of both of these shows and he loves to make awesome crossovers between the two. Featured above is his awesome take on Mako from Legend of Korra as a certain Flame Alchemist from Brotherhood.

6 TEAM AVATAR ASSEMBLE

liu-psypher Avatar Legend of Korra Avengers

The Marvel Cinematic Universe already left a permanent mark on the cinematic landscape and it’s become the most profitable movie franchise of all time, not to mention that it’s still going strong. Fans of the MCU are eagerly awaiting future movies, and those talented enough are creating incredible fan art in the meantime.

MCU crossovers are all over the internet, and unsurprisingly, the Avengers have crossed over with Avatar as well. Prime Premne designed this amazing mashup poster that features Team Avatar as Avengers. The best part is, the elements and the symbols of each character are incorporated in the design. Cool!
