New details have surfaced about the leaked Avatar: The Last Airbender - Quest For Balance video game, including its release date, story and gameplay, all based on the beloved Nickelodeon series following Avatar Aang and the Gaang.

According to Avatar News, the leaked video game is, in fact, real and is being developed by Paramount, Avatar Studios and GameMill and is scheduled to be released on Nov. 8. The art style is said to heavily resemble Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, though the report clarifies Quest For Balance will not be an open world game.

The report also confirmed the framing story takes place after the events of Book Three: Fire in Avatar: The Last Airbender, with the members of the White Lotus sharing tales of their journeys with the Avatar and his allies. Master Pakku's story will cover the events of Book One: Water, King Bumi's section will cover Book Two: Earth and Iroh's section will cover Book Three: Fire. However, it will not follow the series' events exactly. The report suggests the game will provide players with alternate histories, according to what each of the members of the White Lotus remembers.

News of the upcoming video game surfaced after Amazon Japan displayed a listing for Avatar: The Last Airbender - Quest For Balance. At the time of writing, neither Paramount, Avatar Studios nor GameMill have officially announced the game or confirmed any of the reports. Lending legitimacy to the listing prior to the more recent report was the fact that GameMill has worked on several projects involving Nickelodeon properties in the past, including the Nickelodeon Kart Racers series and the more recent fighting game, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl.

While the listing seemingly suggested the game will be released on PlayStation 4, the recent report confirmed Quest For Balance will be released for PlayStation 5 as well, alongside Xbox One/S/X/Series, Nintendo Switch and PC. Marketing for the game is believed to begin soon.

When it comes to video games, it has been some time since the last major title was released for the world of Avatar. That changed in recent weeks, with Square Enix's free-to-play Avatar: Generations seeing a soft launch in Sweden, Denmark, South Africa and Canada on Android and iOS. The game covers the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender, with the developer confirming it will eventually expand to include stories involving Avatar Korra, Kyoshi and more. It is still in the early stages and no worldwide launch date has yet been announced.
