2020 has been a long year, and a lot has happened to make it feel even longer. The biggest event, of course, was the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, which meant that almost everyone’s plans for the year— from weddings to graduations to travel— have been put on the backburner in some capacity.

So the idea that Iroh’s plans, which usually involve drinking good tea, are actually going to change that much, regardless of what 2020 throws at him, seems pretty unlikely.

Sokka’s first girlfriend, Yue, is the princess of the Northern Water Tribe. She was sick when she was born, and the Moon Spirit gave her the life spirit she needed to survive. When the Moon Spirit, a fish, is killed during an attack by the Fire Nation, Yue makes the difficult decision to give her life spirit back in order to save the Spirit and therefore the Bending of her people so they can fight back. It means the end of her relationship with Sokka and also her life.

Ty Lee and Mai are Azula’s two best friends, as well as her most trusted partners. She brings them along to track down the Avatar, which they’re both eager and excited to do. It seems like a new adventure and a chance to show off their combat skills.

When she’s captured, she’s put in a metal box, since she won’t be able to bend their way out of it, and they think they’re home free to make a lot of money. Unfortunately, the “2020” in this situation is Toph suddenly teaching herself how to metal bend.
1 Cabbage Man Just Wants To Sell His Cabbage
One of the most enduring jokes of Avatar is that of the cabbage merchant. He’s so beloved that he even gets a callout in The Legend of Korra. This poor guy is just trying to live his life selling cabbages out of a cart around the Earth Kingdom. But just about everywhere he goes, he runs into Team Avatar, who don’t mean to completely destroy his livelihood with their shenanigans and adventures but somehow manage to just about every time anyway.
