Already on board for the Netflix series are the creators of the original animated series, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. It appears that the show will be making an effort to stay true to the spirit of the beloved and critically acclaimed cartoon, which aired on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008.

As the remake is currently in early development, not much is known yet about production or a target premiere date. However, further announcements about new and returning talent should continue to roll in.
