She wasn't necessarily ever bad and struggled with being good throughout her time hunting the Avatar and in the end becomes a Kyoshi warrior, fighting for good. Looking at all of her hilarious and quirky moments, here are some of Ty Lee's best quotes throughout the series.

10 "Nice speech, Azula! It was pretty and poetic, but also scary in a good way!"

Ty Lee is a very supportive friend, its part of her happy go lucky attitude. Although she's nothing like Azula and Mai who are more intense and emotionless, she still finds time to support them and display her loyalty.

When Azula makes one of her diabolical and threatening speeches, Ty Lee finds a way to compliment her on her delivery by saying "Nice speech, Azula! It was pretty and poetic, but also scary in a good way!"

9 "I joined the circus because I was scared of spending the rest of my life as part of a matched set. At least I'm different now."

During the bonfire when Azula, Zuko, Mai, and Ty Lee are having an emotional conversation, all the kids take turns going over their issues and why they are unhappy in their current situation or what made them resent who they are.

Ty Lee at first is ridiculed for always wanting attention and for joining the circus despite having a respectable life back at home. She explains that she is tired of living her life as a carbon copy of her 6 sisters and wanted to live her life on her terms. She retaliates with "I joined the circus because I was scared of spending the rest of my life as part of a matched set. At least I'm different now" when Mai calls her a circus freak.

8 "It'll be interesting seeing Zuko again, won't it, Mai?"

It is revealed that the girls all grew up together in the Fire Nation and have been friends for years. It is also obvious that Mai has always had a crush on Zuko, which leads to a little bit of teasing from Ty Lee.

When Azula announces that Zuko would be coming home and joining their efforts, Mai gives a slight smile and Ty Lee says "It'll be interesting seeing Zuko again, won't it, Mai?"

7 "You are not prettier than we are."

Ty Lee may be easygoing but she can be a bit petty sometimes, especially when it comes to her friends or her beauty. She is a very capable warrior, often going toe to toe with several members of the Gaang and even the Kyoshi Warriors.

When she learns the foundation of the Kyoshi warriors and what they stand for, she angrily retorts while fighting Suki "You are not prettier than we are."

6 "My aura has never been pinker!"

Ty Lee is a very spiritual person, almost rivaling Aang in knowledge and respect for it. She is good at reading auras and only associating herself with people with positive auras and ones that don't dampen hers.

While she is describing auras and hearing objections for her beliefs, she confidently explains that her aura is "My aura has never been pinker!" which can only be a good thing, according to her.

5 "These boys won't leave me alone. I think they all just like me too much!"

Ty Lee is a very pretty and bubbly girl. She is used to getting attention and although she doesn't look for it, guys will line up just to do her bidding. When the group travels to the beach in an attempt to relax after a tension-filled year with the Avatar and the Fire Nation, Ty Lee immediately starts getting attention from guys.

They all follow her and do everything she wants, which eventually makes Azula jealous because it's not as easy for her. When they are at a party, she goes up to Azula after a long day of being pampered and exclaims "These boys won't leave me alone. I think they all just like me too much!"

4 "Hey... Look at that dust cloud. It's so...poofy! "

Ty Lee is very much someone who likes to stop and smell the roses. She is big on chi and energy and she applies to look at the beautiful things in life, even when she's in the middle of a battle, she can't help but admire what's in front of her.

In one of the many fights between the girls and the Gaang, Ty Lee is fighting off Toph, and Toph earth bends and uses a cloud of dirt to hide where they are escaping. Ty Lee can't help but admire the dirt cloud and says "Hey... Look at that dust cloud. It's so...poofy! "

3 "Ooo, it’s like we’re dancing together"

Ty Lee Sokka

Sokka may not be a bender, but he sure has some luck with the ladies. From Yue to Suki, even Ty Lee is smitten by the young and handsome warrior. Sokka may not want her attention and often brushes off her advances but it doesn't stop Ty Lee from flirting while they are fighting.

In one of their many battles, Sokka does a good job avoiding any lethal hits from Ty Lee and instead of getting frustrated or annoyed, she simply admires Sokka and happily taunts "Ooo, it’s like we’re dancing together".

2 "Was it just me, or is it that guy kind of cute?"

In their first matchup against the Gaang, Ty Lee is impressed by the group and she is immediately infatuated by Sokka. Like we mentioned before, Sokka is a bit of a ladies man so it's no surprise someone as flirty as Ty Lee would develop a crush on a charismatic Sokka.

When they escape and the girls are left to watch them fly away, Ty Lee is the only one unaffected by the defeat and exclaims "Was it just me, or is it that guy kind of cute?", referring to Sokka.

1 "Look, I love you like my sister. But right now I hate you, like my sister Ty Woo. Who I hate!"

Ty Lee may be positive and optimistic and she has nothing but love for her friends, but she definitely has some bad feelings towards her sisters. Growing up having to impress her parents and compete for attention with six other sisters, she grew a hatred for them.

When arguing with Mai, her closest friends, she angrily retorts "Look, I love you like my sister. But right now I hate you, like my sister Ty Woo. Who I hate!"
