Fans have Avatar: The Last Airbender have a lot to be excited about as, for the first time ever, the entire series is coming to Netflix. The well-loved animated series will be coming to the streaming service in the United States on May 15.Up until this point, people in the United States wanting to watch The Last Airbender had to find a way to either rent the episodes or buy the DVD sets. The news comes as Netflix continues to develop a live-action version of the fantasy series. The live-action adaptation was ordered back in September 2018 and was set to begin production in February 2020. However, due to the coronavirus outbreak, it is unclear if production ever got off the ground. Most of Netflix's projects are currently on indefinite hiatus.

This will give Netflix a near monopoly on Avatar: The Last Airbender content. Aside from the animated series and the future live-action adaptation, the streamer also has the live-action film, The Last Airbender. The only piece on content missing is the sequel series, The Legend of Korra, which is currently available on CBS All Access.
