Avatar: The Last Airbender may be an action-packed fantasy series, complete with supernatural bending, spirits, and monsters, but it never forgets the human side of the characters. Aang, Sokka, Katara, Toph, and certainly Zuko all grow and mature as characters during the story, and many of them find love, too. Sokka was first involved with princess Yue, then Suki the Kyoshi warrior.
Sokka was very happy with Suki, and their relationship showed what Sokka looked for in a girlfriend. She must be strong, kind, smart, dependable, charming, and brave in battle, and he could certainly find these qualities in many other heroines throughout the world of anime. Any of them could easily capture Sokka's heart.
10 Asami Sato Is A Real Catch (The Legend Of Korra)
Sokka and the brilliant Asami Sato live in the same universe, but at two different time periods. If they had been born at roughly the same time, then they could have really hit it off, and Sokka couldn't help but love the dazzling Asami Sato.
Like Suki, Asami is brave and tough in battle, despite being a nonbender, and her sophistication, beauty, and intelligence boost her appeal through the roof. Mako the Firebender and Korra both dated her, and given the chance, Sokka would have, too.
9 Temari's Strength & Loyalty Would Make A Strong Impression (Naruto)
One of the three "sand siblings" is Temari, the oldest sister and a fierce manipulator of wind. In the original story, she won over the heart of Shikamaru Nara who, with his dry humor and brilliant planning, is a lot like Sokka himself. Clearly, there's some compatibility.
Sokka values courage and conviction in battle, not to mention fierce loyalty, and Temari the Sand shinobi has all these traits and more. She can be stern and a bit full of herself at times, but she is also kind to her allies and will always give them encouraging words during battle.
8 Kohaku Is A Fierce & Dedicated Fighter (Dr. Stone)
Kohaku may not have any special abilities or magic, but she is an agile and ferocious fighter, and that is sure to impress Sokka greatly if they ever end up in battle together. In fact, Sokka would see a lot of himself in Kohaku, and that is sure to bring them closer together.
Like Sokka, Kohaku fights fiercely with stone-age tools rather than magic, and she is highly protective of her sibling; in this case, her sickly big sister, Ruri. That, combined with Kohaku's good humor, would make her an outstanding match for Sokka.
7 Nobara Kugisaki & Sokka Share A Sense Of Humor (Jujutsu Kaisen)
Kohaku isn't the only warrior heroine whose fierce talents and personality would win Sokka's heart. There is also the matter of Nobara Kugisaki, a talented sorcerer who is known for her confidence, her fierce temper, and her sharp and playful sense of humor.
Sokka might be a little intimidated at first, but he would quickly recognize Nobara as a true friend and hero, and they would get along great on a personal level. If Nobara is willing to open up her heart, Sokka would find plenty to love about her.
6 Princess Yona Is A Brave, Royal Fighter (Yona Of The Dawn)
Princess Yona lost her father and her comfortable royal life when her childhood friend Soo-Won betrayed her. Now Yona is on the run, with her bodyguard Hak and an ever-growing gang of allies to support her. She quickly learned to fight with the bow and arrow, and she has some leadership qualities as well.
Sokka would be reminded of Yue, a beautiful and brave girl who will do anything to restore the balance of the world, and Suki, who fights fiercely despite the odds. Yona is a kind and compassionate girl who has discovered her true strength, and Sokka couldn't help but love her if they ever met.
5 Arisa Uotani's Strength & Kindness Are Inspiring (Fruits Basket)
Tohru Honda the heroine would appeal to Sokka as a charming friend, while Tohru's BFF Arisa Uotani would go a step beyond that. Arisa used to be a bitter and lost delinquent until Tohru showed her true kindness. Arisa turned her life around, and became Tohru's friend and protector. She owes Tohru a lot.
Sokka would be greatly impressed with Arisa's tough but fair attitude, and he would be reminded of Suki, who had a similar air about her when they first met on Kyoshi Island. Arisa, in turn, would be amused and intrigued by the clever and unconventional Sokka, and Tohru would definitely encourage these two to pursue this budding romance further.
4 Cana Alberona Is Already On Sokka's Wavelength (Fairy Tail)
Cana Alberona is a bit like Sokka herself, being a fun-loving supporting character who uses creative and unconventional tactics in battle to get the job done (minus any boomerangs). Cana was estranged from her father for years, but they made up later, forming a bond on par with Sokka and Hakoda.
Cana is smart and practical, but she also likes to gently tease others and has a sharp sense of humor, much like Sokka himself. If they met, they would hit it off at once and have all kinds of adventures together. Cana is bound to introduce Sokka to her father at some point.
3 Kyoka Jiro Is On Sokka's Wavelength, Too (My Hero Academia)
Kyoka Jiro is the musical hero of Class 1-A, though she has some insecurities to face. Like Sokka, Kyoka is a true hero but isn't reckless about it, nor does she try to steal the spotlight. Instead, she is a humble and resourceful fighter who simply aims to do her part.
Kyoka has a somewhat dry and punkish sense of humor, but she means well, and she is kind but not excessively sentimental, striking a fine balance that Sokka is sure to appreciate. And, of course, she is a cool and loyal hero who can always save the day. What's not to like?
2 Kyoko Hori Is Protective Of Her Family & Has Good Sense (Horimiya)
Kyoko Hori isn't a fighter at all, but she does have a few things in common with Sokka, and the two of them would really understand each other if they ever met. Kyoko is a highly responsible big sister who cares a great deal for her little brother Souta, and similarly, Sokka is quick to shield his sister Katara from any harm.
In addition, Kyoko Hori is a smart and sharp-witted girl who can easily charm others, while also having a pointed sense of humor and a very slight mean streak. Sokka would be deeply intrigued, and he'd love to get to know her better.
1 Nami Is Smart, Crafty, & Witty (One Piece)
Nami is the navigator of Luffy's pirate crew, and at first, she cared only for money and treasures, but she soon learned that friends are the real treasure (though she still loves money). Nami is a witty and responsible young woman who is just like the Sokka of her crew, and Luffy relies a great deal on her.
Sokka and Nami would see themselves in each other on many levels, and Nami's good looks and fun-loving personality would sweeten the deal in Sokka's eyes. They are sure to hit it off.
