At the beginning of Avatar: The Last Airbender, audiences are introduced to Aang. Having become the Avatar following Roku's death, Aang ended up getting trapped in ice after running away from home only to wake up as the last Airbender in the known world. However, what if Aang hadn't been trapped and thus lived a regular life? In this video, we're going to look at what might have happened had Princess Yue become the Avatar instead.

In the Avatar cycle, an Air Nomad Avatar is followed by one from the Water Tribe. This means that whoever follows after Aang would, like Korra, be from that group. This means Princess Yue would have certainly been eligible for the position, especially considering just how long Aang was in the ice. However, there are some teases that Princess Yue was more than just a regular member of the Water Tribe. Born silent, Princess Yue was revived using the energy of Tui, the Moon Spirit. In this theory, Princess Yue was supposed to inherit Rava's spirit, which is why she's silent.
