The popular multiplayer online battle arena game Smite is getting several fan-favorite characters next month, with the leads from Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra joining the fray in a new update.

A new Battle Pass has been announced for July, with a trailer showing Aang and Zuko from Avatar arriving on the battlefield after sensing something deeply wrong in the video game's fantasy world. Gameplay footage shows the two in action, joined by Korra, showcasing their powerful, magical abilities.

First released in 2014, Smite has gamers jump into team-based combat as they navigate battlefields online as fantasy characters taking inspiration from various mythological figures to defeat opposing teams. Since its debut, the game has developed a strong following in the esports community, including several high-profile competitions.
