Dark Horse Comics will release a new Avatar: The Last Airbender graphic novel focused on the Kyoshi Warrior Suki next year.

The graphic novel is titled "Suki, Alone" and takes place during the events of the third season of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Suki is separated from her allies and locked in the Fire Nation prison known as the Boiling Rock, where she fights to form a community with the other prisoners.

Suki, Alone is written by Faith Erin Hicks in conjunction with Avatar: The Last Airbender writer Tim Hedrick, who offered input and consultation on the story. The graphic novel will be illustrated by Peter Wartman (Stonebreaker), with colors from Adele Matera and letters by ComiCraft. Hicks has written several Avatar: The Last Airbender comics, including Katara and the Pirate's Silver and the upcoming Toph Beifong's Metalbending Academy which will go on sale on February 2021.

During Avatar: The Last Airbender, Aang and friends met Suki and her fellow Kyoshi Warriors, who based their fighting styles and appearances on Avatar Kyoshi. Suki would eventually join Aang and his friends in Season 3, and started a romantic relationship with Sokka.

Avatar: The Last Airbender-Suki, Alone will go on sale on Jun. 22, 2021.
