About Kristy Puchko

Kristy Puchko is a New York City-based film critic and entertainment journalist, whose work has appeared on Vanity Fair, IndieWire, Nerdist, Riot Material, and Pajiba (to name a few). She fell in love with film at an early age, thanks in no small part to Tim Burton's Batman, Joe Dante's Gremlins, and Steven Spielberg's Jaws. Since then, she earned her degree in film studies, and learned the ropes of production and post-production before moving into film criticism. A proud member of OFCS and GALECA, Puchko has been working in the industry for nearly a decade, and teaches a course on the subject at FIT. When she's not watching or writing about movies, she's probably playing board games or listening to true crime audio books.
