During the Marvel Animation Panel on Saturday at New York Comic Con, Stephen Wacker (VP, Current Series & Development) announced that Hayley Atwell will reprise her iconic role to voice Agent Carter's on “Marvel’s Avengers: Secret Wars.”

Atwell starred as Agent Peggy Carter in "Captain America: The First Avenger," before spinning off into Marvel's "Agent Carter" for two seasons on ABC. Carter would make an appearance in the sequel to "The First Avenger," "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," before passing away in the third Captain America film, "Captain America: Civil War."

Though ABC decided to cancel "Agent Carter" after two seasons, Atwell revealed she is still open to returning to her role as Peggy. "I’d love it to be [still on the table],” she shared. “The great thing about Peggy is she lives a long life. I’m banking on being in my 50s and going, ‘Let’s see what Peggy’s up to."

Seasons 1 and 2 of “Agent Carter” are currently available to stream on Amazon Prime Instant Video.

Originally titled "Avengers Assemble," the animated Avengers series was renamed "Avengers: Ultron Revolution" for Season 3 As revealed at Comic-Con International this summer, the upcoming fourth season will be retitled "Avengers: Secret Wars" and will introduce fan-favorite Marvel heroes like Black Panther, Ant-Man and more.

“Avengers: Secret Wars” will air on Disney XD. No release date has been announced.
