'Attack the Block' Star Hits the '24' Clock

The cast of 24: Live Another Day keeps getting bigger and better. Today brings word that the revival of 24 has targeted none other than John Boyega, the breakout star of Joe Cornish's 2011 monster movie Attack the Block.

Variety reports Boyega will play "a computer tech who flies drones for the military." It's unclear whether his character works for the American or British military. One can certainly hope he's simply reprising his role from Attack the Block. After all, if anyone can stop Kiefer Sutherland's Jack Bauer, it's an alien-battling teen like Moses.

Either way, Boyega becomes the latest recognizable face on the 24 train, following on the heels of Stephen Fry's enlistment as the series' British Prime Minister. Other newcomers include Tate Donovan, Yvonne Strahovski and Benjamin Bratt.

24: Live Another Day premieres May 5.
