There are many strong characters in Attack On Titan. The inheritors of the Nine Titans are the most powerful characters in the series. Many of the main characters, such as Eren, Reiner, Armin, Annie, Zeke, and Bertholdt have inherited at least one of the Nine Titans, and the War Hammer Titan is no exception. However, this titan is also the least popular of the nine.

Despite being so vital, little is known about the War Hammer Titan's history, powers, and inheritors. There are some very important things about this titan that fans of the manga should learn before the series ends.

10 The Last To Appear

Nine Titans

One of the reasons the War Hammer Titan is the least popular is because it is the last to appear. Those that haven't gotten too far in the series never even heard of this titan. It was introduced when Eren attacked Marley and reunited with the Survey Corps. In order to defeat him, the War Hammer Titan finally revealed herself.

Prior to this, the only thing fans knew about the War Hammer Titan is that she was a member of the Tybur family. Like the Reiss bloodline, the Tyburs passed their titan to their relatives. However, the War Hammer Titan would not be a Tybur forever.

9 Best At Hardening

Annie and Armin in Attack on Titan season 4

Hardening is a very important ability that has been shown throughout the series. Annie used her Female Titan to create an unbreakable crystal around her, escaping death by the hands of the Survey Corps. Karl Fritz used his Founding Titan to turn Colossal Titans into the three walls that protected Paradis.

The War Hammer Titan has even stronger hardening abilities as its inheritors have been able to create weapons they could use to fight.

8 Not In The Neck

Attack on Titan Manga Warhammer Titan Lara Tyber

The most common way of killing a titan is by striking it in its neck. However, Eren realized in his fight with the War Hammer Titan that its inheritor was able to use her powers while she was underground, tethered to her titan. An ability that is specifically used by the War Hammer Titan's users is the ability to control their titan while not be inside of it.

They can also hide anywhere inside of their body. Now that Eren is currently in possession of its powers, nobody knows where he is.

7 The Great Titan War

Paradis

The Great Titan War was one of the most important events in the series' lore. Having no enemies powerful enough to fight them, Eldians battled against each other. Seeing this as a grand opportunity, Marley took advantage of their strife and worked with the Tyburs to take away the Eldian's titans.

This was how Eldia was only left with the Founding Titan. Deciding not to fight anymore, Karl Fritz had actually conspired with the Tyburs and brought his people to Paradis in an attempt to maintain peace. The Tyburs ended up taking control of the War Hammer Titan while the Marleyan government possessed the other seven.

6 Willy Tybur's Sister

War Hammer Titan

Besides Eren, the only known inheritor of the War Hammer Titan was never given a name. She is simply known as Willy Tybur's sister. The fact that she was a titan shifter remained a secret to nearly everyone in the world, with not even all of the family knowing which one of them inherited their ancestors' powers.

Some fans had actually expected Willy to be the user when they were first introduced, but after Eren killed him, his sister tried to get vengeance.

5 Battle Against Eren

AOT Season 4

When the fight between Willy Tybur's sister and Eren began, Marley was shocked to see their country invaded. The Survey Corps had finally reunited with Eren and got their revenge for what happened in Wall Maria, even if they didn't want to kill civilians. Marley's army and the other titans joined the battle shortly after.

While Eren was finding the exact moment to strike down his opponent, Mikasa waited for him to give the order to defeat the War Hammer Titan as a surprise attack. However, due to a lack of knowledge in the War Hammer Titan's abilities, they had not expected for the strike to barely hurt its inheritor.

4 Eren Eats

Eren eats War Hammer Titan

One of the titans to join the fight was the Jaw Titan. He was outraged after believing that Pieck and Zeke were killed. Wanting to avenge them and take the Founding Titan, he tried to eat Eren. After the two fought against each other, Eren found a way to take the War Hammer Titan for himself and defeat Porco.

He used the Jaw Titan to destroy the crystal that the War Hammer Titan made, allowing Eren to consume Willy Tybur's sister. Porco was humiliated after this and swore to get his revenge, especially after finding out that their invasion was used to join forces with Zeke.

3 Breaking Out Of Prison

Eren imprisoned

With Eren finally having the War Hammer Titan and helping Zeke escape from Marley, he was ready to return to Paradis. However, he remained in a cell since many of the Survey Corps members lost their trust in him. Little did they realize that he would be able to leave whenever he wanted with his new powers.

He pretended to be a prisoner until his group, the Yeagerists, killed Darius Zackly, the general of the military. Reuniting with Floch and the rest of his followers, he took control of Paradis.

2 Eren's True Goal

AOT Eren

After Eren took control of Paradis, he used Zeke to control the Founding Titan. Unhardening everything that was hardened, he was able to use the Colossal Titans inside the walls of Paradis to destroy his enemies.

He knew that he was going to do this due to the Attack Titan inheritors being able to see memories of the future. Possessing the War Hammer Titan has helped him even more and readers cannot wait to see how he uses all of its powers.

1 Still Not In The Anime

AOT Final Season

As mentioned previously, the War Hammer Titan was the last to appear in the manga. To add to why the majority of the fans don't know much about this titan is that it has yet to appear in the anime. Those that only watch the series have only seen the events from volume 23 onward in the trailer for the upcoming season.

Luckily, they'll learn about it soon since the first episode is airing in Japan on December 7th, and the War Hammer Titan will hopefully gain more fans.
