The hit anime series Attack on Titan will come to an end with Season 4.
The news was revealed in a teaser, which you can see below, that confirms Attack on Titan will air its final season in fall 2020. The short clip, which coincides with the Season 3 finale, features Mikasa imploring Eren to come home.
Created by Hajime Isayama, the manga first released in 2009 and is set to end in the next two years. The immensely popular manga, which has run for over 28 volumes, was first adapted into an anime in 2013. However, there was a nearly a three-year gap between Seasons 1 and 2. There are anime and live-action films based off the popular franchise. WIT Studios will work on Season 4.
Set in the future, Attack on Titan explores a world in which humanity has cloistered itself in cities for protection against man-eating titans. As the series has gone on, more and more twists have revealed the complex history that rendered the world a dystopia.
New episodes of Attack on Titan are available to stream on Crunchyroll and FUNimation, and air every Saturday night as part of Adult Swim's Toonami block. Season 4 premieres in fall 2020.
