Crunchyroll has released a new promo video highlight some of Attack on Titan's messier moments.

The series of clips compiles many of the show's more visceral scenes, beginning with the gory Battle of Trost near the start of the series, and continuing with a quick montage of the some of the fights from the second half of the series. The crunch and splatter filled trailer was created to promote the upcoming premiere of the Part 2 of Attack on Titan's final season, which will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll, Funimation and Hulu on Jan. 9. Crunchyroll will provide a simulcast of the series to over 200 countries, with subtitles available in eight languages. Funimation will also stream the series as it airs in Japan in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Australia and New Zealand.

Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2 will pick up right where the first half of the season left off, with Reiner preparing to fight the series' main protagonist, Eren Jaeger. The last batch of episodes will adapt the remaining chapters of Isayama's manga, which published its controversial final chapter in Japan earlier this year. Kodansha USA published the final collected volume of the manga in North America in October.

The various companies behind Attack on Titan's release began hyping the anime's finale several months ago. Kodansha brought a massive Attack on Titan art gallery to multiple anime conventions across the United States this fall, and animation studio MAPPA recently released a new poster that looks back on Eren Jaeger's journey throughout the series. While the show's producers would obviously like to focus on the series' highlights, the show received some unwanted attention recently when American congressman Paul Gosar was censured and removed from his committee duties after he shared an edited Attack on Titan video, which was altered to have his face on the show's Survey Corps. heroes as they slayed several titans, which were edited to resemble Gosar's political rivals, including congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and President Joe Biden. The series also received some negative responses to its release of Eldian armband merchandise, which drew comparisons to multiple real-world examples of discrimination. The armbands were quickly cancelled by the show's production committee shortly after some retailers began taking preorders for them.

Attack on Titan was created by Hajime Isayama and is one of the world's most popular manga franchises, with over 100 million copies in circulation worldwide. Previous seasons of the show are also available for streaming through Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu, while the entire manga series is now available in English from Kodansha USA.
