The new clip comes from Episode 84 of the popular dark-fantasy series, which will be available on Crunchyroll on April 10. In the new preview, Annie questions Mikasa, Armin and Connie's ability to fight their former friend and ally, Eren Jaeger. After weeks of speculation from fans, the producers of Attack on Titan confirmed that the show will continue with The Final Season's third act in 2023. The announcement that Part 3 was in production was made after the 12th and final episode of Part 2 was broadcast on April 3. Part 3 will once again be produced by studio MAPPA, who took over production of the series after Wit Studio (Ranking of Kings, Spy x Family) animated the series' first three seasons.

While the subtitled simulcast of the season has concluded, Crunchyroll's simuldub of Part 2 is still on-going. Fans who prefer the dubbed version of the series can also watch it on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block. The show was added to the network's late-night schedule earlier this year, alongside other critically acclaimed anime such as Made in Abyss and Assassination Classroom.

Attack on Titan was created by Hajime Isayama and first published in 2009. The original manga was a massive commercial success, achieving a worldwide circulation of over 100 million copies. The series has also been a similar hit with critics, who have lauded the series for its tense storytelling and memorable cast of characters. The final chapter of the manga was released in 2021, and despite an extremely divisive reaction to the finale, the anime adaptation of the series continues to be one of the most popular shows in the world, with one market analyst firm naming The Final Season "the most in-demand" show of 2021.

In addition to the current season, all previous seasons of the anime are available for streaming on Crunchyroll. Isayama's complete manga series is available in English from Kodansha USA.
