Mikasa Ackerman is one of the most beloved characters in the Attack on Titan universe. One of the reasons why readers like her so much is that she's a talented and strong fighter who can defeat many enemies whom most of her comrades couldn't on their own. Because of this, she has accomplished a lot.

Whether it be for the sake of the world or a personal struggle that she faced, Mikasa overcame everything that stood in her way and was respected by many other characters because of it.

10 She Helped Defeat The Female Titan

When it was revealed that the Female Titan was Annie Leonhart, a soldier from the 104th Cadet Corps whom Mikasa trained with, the Survey Corps prepared to attack her. Eren and Mikasa were the ones who fought her the most. At first, Eren was hesitant to fight someone he considered to be a friend, but Mikasa helped him get through his personal feelings, allowing him to transform into his titan. During the battle, Annie tried to escape. When she climbed the wall, Mikasa sliced off her fingers, making her fall. Knowing that she was defeated, Annie used her hardening abilities to crystalize herself for years, but that didn't change the fact that Mikasa beat the Female Titan.

9 She Killed Floch

Toward the end of the manga, the Yeagerists fought against the Survey Corps and Warrior Unit, hoping that Eren would be able to kill everyone outside of Paradis. Floch led the Yeagerists at this point, and while most of his followers died, he snuck onto his enemies' boat. The Survey Corps and Warrior Unit hoped to use the boat to get to a ship so they could catch up to Eren on time, and when they got to the ship, Floch shot it. Mikasa killed him immediately, but they were delayed, resulting in Hange sacrificing their life so their comrades could fly away.

8 Mikasa & The Survey Corps Saved The Soldiers In Castle Utgard

When Zeke went to Paradis, he turned the citizens of Ragako into titans and used them to attack the soldiers in Castle Utgard, including Historia, Ymir, Connie, Bertholdt, and Reiner.

As the titans attacked the castle, it began to fall, forcing Ymir to reveal that she was the inheritor of the Jaw Titan as she tried to save her comrades. Luckily, Mikasa and some of the other Survey Corps soldiers arrived shortly after and killed the titans there.

7 She Saved A Lot Of Trost Citizens

After graduating from the 104th Cadet Corps, Mikasa and her comrades had to fight the titans that invaded Trost. During her battle, she discovered a group of people who weren't able to get to safety because Dimo Reeves was trying to get his supplies out first. To make matters worse, a titan was running after them, which Mikasa luckily defeated. She then threatened Reeves and made sure that the citizens got out of Trost. If she hadn't, more people would have died that day.

6 Mikasa & The Survey Corps Defeated A Group Of Yeagerists Who Threatened The Azumabito

Shortly before she killed Floch, Mikasa and her comrades had to fight against many Yeagerists in order to save the Azumabito and get onto the boat. While her comrades fought against the Yeagerists, Mikasa, along with Hange, Jean, and Theo, took care of the Azumabito, defending them from their enemies. The Azumabito informed them that in order to catch up to Eren, they'd have to go to Odiha. If Mikasa hadn't saved the Azumabito, she and her comrades never would have caught up to Eren.

5 She Was The Best Soldier In The 104th Cadet Corps

Out of all of the soldiers from the 104th Cadet Corps, Mikasa was the best. She had worked hard from the very beginning to be a great soldier so that she could protect her loved ones, overcoming any obstacle that she had to face. Before she even graduated, many soldiers had already heard about her, and she could have joined the Military Police if she had wanted to. With this reputation, she earned a lot of respect.

4 She Avenged Her Parents

When Mikasa was a little kid, three human traffickers killed her parents and kidnapped her. Shortly after, the Yeagers discovered what happened, and Eren rescued her.

He had killed two of the human traffickers, not knowing that there was a third who beat him up and strangled him. Mikasa fought back, saving Eren's life and avenging her parents. That night, she was welcomed into the Yeagers' home and had a new family.

3 She Became The Strongest Soldier In Paradis

Throughout the years, Mikasa became an even stronger soldier while her comrades either passed away or were injured, such as Mike and Levi. By the end of the manga, she was the strongest soldier Paradis had, surpassing everyone around her. She was also one of the few soldiers who were around from the beginning of the manga to still be in Paradis by the end, as her comrades started new lives in other places around the world.

2 Mikasa & The Survey Corps Saved Eren From Reiner & Bertholdt

When Reiner and Bertholdt revealed that they were the Armored and Colossal Titans, Mikasa tried to kill them but failed. After Reiner fought against Eren, the warriors were able to capture him and tried to bring him to Marley. However, Mikasa and the rest of the Survey Corps refused to let them get away. When they caught up, they did everything they could in order to rescue Eren, with Mikasa staying close to him to make sure they got back safely. If they had failed, Eren would have most likely been eaten by Porco, or one of the other warrior candidates, who would have become a huge threat to Paradis.

1 She Saved The World By Killing Eren

Mikasa loved Eren from the moment they met, but as the years passed, he changed. When he started the Rumbling, she still hoped that she would be able to stop him in a peaceful way, but she eventually accepted that it couldn't be done and killed him. After she went inside of his titan and decapitated him, the titans vanished and 20% of humanity was saved. Because Mikasa was willing to lose the person she loved the most, she became the world's greatest hero.
