Attack On Titan is coming close to its conclusion. Chapter 133 recently released and fans are excited to figure out who will win the battle between Eren against humanity when it comes to an end. At the same time, they are also disappointed that there will not be any new chapters and may need another story to fill the void.
Though Attack On Titan is a unique story that has little in common with other manga, there are some other titles that they may be interested in. There are other installments in the Attack On Titan universe that they may have overlooked, as well as some other popular franchises they should give a chance.
10 Attack On Titan: Before The Fall
Attack On Titan: Before The Fall is a prequel to the epic series. It takes place 70 years before the Colossal Titan appears on Paradis and centers around a boy named Kuklo. His mother gave birth as a titan ate her. Found in a pile of titan puke, Kuklo was considered to be the son of a titan and was abused by people for the majority of his life. One day, he meets a girl named Sharle who teaches him about the world they live in. After they escape from her father, who treats her as a possession and Kuklo as a slave, he decides to join the Survey Corps and prove that he is more human than titan.
9 Death Note
Like Attack On Titan, Death Note is another manga that tells a unique story. One day, a boy named Light Yagami picks up a mysterious notebook that gives him the power to kill anyone by writing their name down as long as he knows their name and face. He uses the notebook to become a god, Kira, and believes that he is the embodiment of justice. L, the best detective in the world, believes that Kira is the greatest criminal in all of history, and wants to send him to prison. These two geniuses have to find out the other's identity and make them face what they believe is justice in order to get what they want from the world. Who will win?
8 The Promised Neverland
Three orphans that have been friends for the majority of their lives join forces to escape the orphanage they grew up in. After one of the younger orphans is supposedly adopted, she leaves her favorite toy behind.
When Norman and Emma try to catch up to her and return it, they find out that she was murdered and that the orphanage is actually run by a group of demons. They tell their other friend, Ray, and plan on escaping so they don't face the same fate as the kids that came before them.
7 Attack On Titan: Junior High
If fans have ever wondered what their favorite characters would be like as junior high school students rather than soldiers and warriors, this is the series to read. A comedic parody based on Attack On Titan, this chibi manga is about Eren and his friends surviving a school that both humans and titans attend. They end up joining the Attack Jr. High Survey Club while dealing with the problems that many children face.
6 Black Bullet
If Attack On Titan's medieval setting was replaced with a futuristic one, the result would be Black Bullet. In 2021, the world faces against a virus that can turn people into monsters. Enju, a powerful child that was born having the virus, and Satomi, her protector who lost nearly everything to the Gastrea, are on a mission to save the world and reclaim the lives they lost to the virus. With the struggles the world is currently going through, there has never been a better time to read Black Bullet.
5 Fullmetal Alchemist
Two brothers, Edward and Alphonse, lose even more than they already had in an attempt to bring their mother back from the dead. In order for Edward to get his arm and leg back, and for Alphonse's body to be restored, the two search for the Philosopher's Stone. On their journey, they end up facing against homunculi of the seven deadly sins.
4 Deadman Wonderland
After being accused of killing his classmates, Ganta is sent to an amusement park where criminals fight for audiences' entertainment. He meets a mysterious girl from his past named Shiro. However, he does not remember her. Determined to find who is responsible for the deaths of his friends and learn about the childhood he doesn't remember, Ganta joins Shiro and the other criminals in order to plan their escape.
3 Puella Magi Madoka Magica
This series may seem like a typical magical girl's title, but it is actually really dark compared to stories like Sailor Moon. After learning about the existence of magical girls, Madoka must decide if she wants to become one. If she does, she'll have to fight against witches. In return, she will be given one wish.
Another girl named Homura tries to stop Madoka from becoming a magical girl and will do whatever it takes to make sure that she doesn't make a deal with Kyubey, the creature that can give magical girls their powers and wishes. This series has a lot of plot twists despite being short, including the realization that it is much more mature than what many first thought it would be.
2 Kabaneri Of The Iron Fortress
Like titans, the creatures of this series, Kabane, come from people and pose a dangerous threat to them. Ikoma and Mumei, two people that possess qualities of the Kabane, join forces in order to see if they have what it takes to defeat the infected humans and save the island of Hinomoto. What fans of Attack On Titan may find especially interesting about this title is that it was originally an anime made by Wit Studio, the company that worked on the first three seasons of Attack On Titan's anime adaptation.
1 Attack On Titan: No Regrets
Another prequel prior to the events of the main series is No Regrets, which tells the story of how Levi joined the Survey Corps. He had two friends, Isabel and Furlan, who joined with him. Erwin found them and agreed to excuse them from their crimes if they joined the military and fought titans with him. Planning to kill the commander, Levi ends up befriending him after learning that the titans are responsible for taking away everything that mattered to him. Despite only being two volumes, this is one of the greatest stories in Attack On Titan's universe.
