Sadly, most fans have only ever been able to watch the anime, but with the recent delays in anime, the final season no longer has a release date. For fans that can't wait to find out what happens in the end, the manga seems like a pretty good way to go. Below are some of the most common questions that fans need to know about the manga series.

10 Is The Manga Over?

No, the manga is not over yet, but it has entered into its final arc, according to the writer. While no one knows for sure just when the manga will end, fans who have read the latest chapters are confident it won't be much longer now.

The manga has hit its climax, and the final battle has begun. It's only a matter of time before the manga gets its conclusion, but for not, it is still an ongoing series.

Believe it or not, the popular manga isn't a weekly release. Since the story began publishing, fans are only treated to chapters once a month, unless there has been some sort of delay in the publishing process.

While this may sound like a long time to wait for a chapter, the series will now likely finish before Season 4 starts to air on TV, making it the faster way to complete the series.

8 How Long Is It?

As of right now, the series spans 32 volumes in Japan, and at the very least, fans expect it to hit 33 volumes. There are currently 132 chapters of the manga, and most of the chapters sit somewhere around 50 pages.

Yes, many fans have noted subtle changes that make the manga a fresh read. By starting from the beginning, you will also be able to refresh yourself on everything that has happened in the story, which will help you be prepared for the manga's conclusion when it finally publishes.

The best part about reading the manga is looking for small differences and being able to catch foreshadowing that fans didn't notice the first time around.

6 Who Publishes The Manga?

Attack on Titan is published by Kodansha in their only magazine Bessatsu Shonen. The series began it's run in the magazine in 2009, and with the exception of some of the extra series, everything has been published in the magazine first.

This also means that if the magazine has any further issues with the publication, fans can expect the chapters to be late. Luckily, Kodansha has been around for quite a long time and knows how to get their products out.

5 Are The Characters The Same?

Like with most anime, the characters were changed to better appeal to viewers. Believe it or not, the best example of this is Levi, who actually has more of a sense of humor in the manga than he does in the anime.

Mikasa is also notably less obsessed with Eren, which is a great touch for many fans. Reading the manga can give a better look at the character's personalities that did get reworked for the anime adaptation.
