'Attack on Titan' Live-Action Series Unveils Trailer

The Japanese streaming service dTV has released a trailer for the live-action drama based on Hajime Isayama’s bestselling manga “Attack on Titan" and its big-screen adaptations.

Called "Attack on Titan: Counter Rockets," the three-episode series will tie in to the live-action films and focus on the everyday lives of soldiers embroiled in humanity's battle for survival against the flesh-devouring Titans. Actors Satomi Ishihara, Nanami Sakuraba, Shu Watanabe, Rina Takeda and Ayame Misaki will reprise their roles from the films.

The first 30-minute episode will premiere Aug. 15 on dTV, with the subsequent installments appearing over the following two Saturdays. The first "Attack on Titan" film opens Aug. 1 in Japan, with the second debuting Sept. 19.
